Companheirismo - Fellowship

One of Life's Tiny Dramas Captured Forever on Film

The bird calls out after realising that his (her?) mate is dead:
In this series of images, we watch the story that unfolds after one of the birds was fatally injured, yet the bird's mate remains nearby, delivering food or water and keeping its dying companion company.

In this image, we see the healthy bird as it "mantles" (covers with its wings) its injured, but still living, companion:
The healthy bird brings food (water?) to its injured companion, caring for it as if the dying bird was one of its chicks:

A ave saudável traz comida (água?)
Despite the healthy bird's attentions, its injured companion dies. The healthy bird apparently attempts to rouse its dead companion:

Another look at the obviously distressed bird as it tries to revive its dead and unresponsive companion:

Apparently, the healthy bird remained by the side of its fallen companion for an unknown period of time. What was the bird accomplishing by doing this? Was it guarding its dead companion? Waiting for the dead bird to finally rouse and follow him (her) into the skies?

I guess this is one of the many great mysteries that we will never really know the answer to.

My conclusion is that, contrary to what the major religions say, animals have souls - just different of us.

The Ambition (Do not play with the taste of a “mineiro”)

“Once upon a time there was a family from Minas Gerais state (mineira family) who had a company (FORNO DE MINAS – “MINAS OVEN”) which produced wonderful cheese breads and sold throughout Brazil, and all Brazilians, starting with the mineiros, loved the brand.”

“But, for unknown reasons, the family sold the brand to an American company (GENERAL MILLS) for some money (R $ 80 MILLION) and began only to provide grated cheese to the factory no longer belongs to them.”

“But then, the new American owners, perhaps driven by ambition, misunderstanding the good taste of brazilian people for this particular item, reduced the amount of grated cheese on the original recipe of 20% to 2%, and added flavoring in place.”

“They also launched other products that do not captivate the Brazilians – is not It also because of the flavoring? - And in 2009, simply decided to fire employees (600 WERE IN 1999) and close the factory.”

“Simple, right? If It don’t bring financial return, disposes of the business. The weight of the brand? The families of the workers laid off? Does not matter.”

“But this story has a happy end: A member of the family (HÉLDER MENDONÇA) was in the United States and bought back the brand. DONA ALBA, his mother, who had just baking homemade cheese bread for her grandchildren in her family oven at home, will take control of the company's quality.”

“But still has the challenge to start from scratch and convince Brazilians that the “Forno de Minas” returned to the old formula and will have to regain our confidence.”

Boa sorte, HÉLDER... Nosso paladar agradece!

“Good luck, HÉLDER ... Our taste thank you!”

Dez coisas que levei anos para aprender ... (Luís Fernando Veríssimo)

(“Ten things that took me years to learn…”) Tradução livre.

1. A person who is good with you, but rude to the waiter or employee, can not be a good person. (This is very important. Pay attention, never fails)

2. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them. (It's full of people wanting to convert you!).

3. Ninguém liga se você não sabe dançar. Levante e dance.

3. Nobody cares if you can not dance. Get up and dance. (Most of the time who is watching you don’t know! Go ahead!).

4. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip. (God gave 24 hours in each day for taking care of your life and there are people who insist on doing overtime!).

5. Não confunda sua carreira com sua vida. (Aprenda a fazer escolhas!).

5. Do not confuse your career with your life. (Learn how to make choices!).

6. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night. (Who wrote must have knowledge of the facts!).

7. If you had to identify, in a word, the reason why the human race has not achieved (and never will achieve) its full potential, that word would be 'meetings'. (Where no one understands theirselves .....)

8. There's a fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness'. (Listening to music is a hobby ... the volume up at seven in the morning can be mental illness!).

9. Your true friends love you anyway (Good!)

10. Remember: not aways the professional people are the best. An amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic. (It's True!).

Last but not least wise.
Save resentment is like taking poison and expecting someone else to die. "
