“Living History” - The Union of two Tips
Mais uma vez, assistindo ao programa de TV “Brasileiros”, pela Rede Globo, que vai ao ar às quintas-feiras após o programa “A Grande Família”, me surpreendi com mais uma pessoa que merece ser conhecida por todos, para que nos sirva também como referência na transformação deste mundo num lugar mais humano e agradável para se viver.
Again, watching the TV program "Brazilian”, by Globo TV, which airs on Thursdays after the program "The Great Family”, I surprised myself with one more person who deserves to be known by all, to be remembered as a reference in the transformation of this world to a more humane and pleasant place to live.

Seu nome é Roseli Bassi. Tem 4 filhos e vive em Curitiba, no Paraná.
Her name is Roseli Bassi. She has four children and lives in Curitiba, state of Parana (south of Brasil).

PRIMEIRA PONTA: Sabemos que há diversos asilos mundo afora, em que inúmeros idosos vivem os dias que lhes restam a relembrarem seus passados, suas experiências de vida. E quando partem, estas histórias, muitas delas belíssimas, também se vão.
FIRST TIP: We know that there are several nursing homes around the world, where many elderly live the days they have ahead to remember their past, their life experiences. And when they leave this world, these stories, many of them beautiful, lost forever.
SEGUNDA PONTA: Crianças ávidas por ouvir histórias, e neste caso, crianças que estão hospitalizadas, cheias de ansiedades pela cura, e também crianças abrigadas.
SECOND TIP: Children eager to hear stories, and in this case, children who are hospitalized, full of anxieties for healing, and also sheltered children.
Para unir estas 2 pontas, um grupo de voluntários visitam os asilos e colhem suas histórias, de forma a valorizar a sabedoria dos idosos. Os voluntários editam estas histórias e depois as conta para as crianças, que desta forma aliviam seus sofrimentos e ao mesmo tempo, aprendem a gostar da leitura. E depois, por retribuição, fazem um desenho dedicado a cada contador de história – coisa que sabem fazer muito bem!
To join these two tips, a group of volunteers visit the nursing homes and gather their stories in order to appreciate the wisdom of the elderly. Volunteers edit these stories and then tells the children, who thus alleviate their suffering and at the same time, learn to love reading. And then, in return, make a design dedicated to each storyteller - something which they do very well!
Parabéns a Roseli e a todos os voluntários deste lindo projeto – que fez uma coisa óbvia, mas que ninguém ainda havia tido a idéia de institucionalizar e praticar em larga escala – unir a experiência dos mais velhos com a vontade de ouvir dos mais novos. E parabéns também para a emissora, que nos traz este bálsamo em meio a notícias de coisas ruins e futilidades sem fim.
Congratulations to all the volunteers and to Roseli, in special, to this lovely project - which did an obvious thing but nobody has had the idea of institutionalizing and practice on a large scale - to unite the experience of older people with a desire to hear of the newest. And congratulations also to the TV station, which brings us this solace, in days that we ear only reports of bad things and peddling without end.

Ladislau recebe a visita da criança que lhe ouviu a história e lhe desenhou. Como ele é artista, lhe presenteou com brinquedos feitos por ele e lhe contou história sobre pescaria... É interessante a atenção que o menino desprendeu com Ladislau.
Ladislaus receives a visit from a child who heard his story and gave him back a drawing. As he is an artist, presented the child with toys made by himself and told him about fishing story ... It is interesting to note the attention that the boy gave to Ladislaus.

Some of us are not educated in community spirit at all. The foreigners attitude towards such people is different, because they live in a situation of material security into an extrinsic motivation based on the idea of "what about me, what I got?" ..this is quite present today in the society we are living in.

In fact, what drives the lives of most people today is materialism. And the beauty is reflected in what the media shows us. False happiness is what they achieve with this lifestyle.
ResponderExcluirCould we understand the beauty outside the box? Could we be happy serving the needy people? Would we change a walk in the shopping center for a visit to a charity house? Or, in our day to day, simply say "thank U" for the people that serves us, or be more kind and tolerant with the differences?
Who lives in a rich country and does not know that almost the whole world is in deep shit is sinning by omission.
The question is: what can we do for a better world? Some write, others clean, other heal ... but we can do something, I'm sure!
